Edited January 31, 2010. I uploaded the correct, working file. The error wouldn't allow me to use dotted rhythms, so for the time being, I removed them

Just remember, Half note in 4/4 time would be worth 2/4 or HALF of that entire duration. A dot adds an additional half to that note. So it would be worth 2/4 + 1/4. Remember, when adding fractions, you add only the numerator (top number) if the denominator (bottom number) is the same. The dotted half note would then be worth 3/4 of the entire duration of the meter.
